Players, Parents, Coaches and Administrators:

 

It is my pleasure to help introduce the EDYSL Academy. Having a training Academy in El Dorado Youth Soccer League area has been a vision of the League Board for several years. This vision has been realized through Phil Albury, our League Coaching Director who was contracted to train our Coaches and began to offer individual and team training to all of the players in our Community.

 

The EDYSL Academy, owned and operated by El Dorado Youth Soccer League, will provide its programs through Global Soccer Solutions, Inc. a company owned by Phil Albury and was officially recognized by the El Dorado Youth Soccer League Board of Managers in February 2007.

 

The goals of the EDYSL Academy are developed by a committee comprised of representatives of all 7 soccer clubs that operate within El Dorado Youth Soccer League.  The Director of the EDYSL Academy will be Henry Reis.

 

Forming the Academy has helped us bring all of our Clubs together to provide training to our Coaches. The Academy will have a variety of programs; the League, your Club, or your Team will subsidize some of these programs. Some programs are being offered for a fee for example individual training, team training, and the all-star programs.

 

I believe that Phil and his team of Coaches provide excellent training for our Players and Coaches. I am very excited about the expectation of offering training for individual player development. Our goal will be to have a program in place so that any player in our League area will have the opportunity to develop their soccer skills to the highest level possible.
